Question by The Cult of Chesire Cat: Can a security camera work behind glass?
I want to install a security camera to see if/who is continously going through my terrace and ripping holes into my gate.

The problem is, I have no where to install the camera. The door leading outside is entirely made of glass, so I was thinking of installing it near there and pointing the camera outside.

Would that work? Or would there be glare problems and such?

Yeah I think it’d be alright. Maybe it’d be REEEEALLY sunny to have glare crap. =]

i don’t think there would be any glare at night.
but i don’t really know for sure.

Yes it would, In the top LEFT hand corner of your door point it directly at the gate and when you see those punks I suggest you call the cops FAST and see if you can stop them yourself.

Good luck with your problem. I have recently dealt with the same thing. My son’s bike was stolen by a punk kid from the projects with some bolt cutters to cut through 2 steel gates and 1 steel lock with 4,000 strings of steel.

Test it once. film out the window for a few secs and the nwatch the movie and see if it worked.

I know inside cars and trucks you can see threw the windoes when filming.
